Review: Urban Decay Book of Shadows Vol. III Redux

My Urban Decay order came in a few days ago! I took pictures of all the packaging, but somehow some of it got deleted :( However, I'll make do!

My order included my palette, which came packaged in a plastic box/sleeve sort of thing, my two Deluxe Eyeshadows in similar plastic boxes, a sample of De-Slick in a Tube in a small purple box, and this cute $5 off coupon :)

The top of the box looks like this, going with the general New York theme of the palette.

Like I said... New York ;) The top flap of the box opens up to this adorable scene. With paper pop-up buildings and characters, light-up towers, and a mirror, the display is enough to make me want the palette on its own!

The little ribbon on the bottom pulls out to reveal the eyeshadows, a 24/7 eyeliner in Zero, and a mini primer potion in Original. From L-R, top to bottom:

Oil Slick, Uzi, Stray Dog, Mildew
Midnight Cowboy Rides Again, SWF, Last Call, Rockstar
Haight, Maui Wowie, Aquarius, Smog
Goddess, Sin, YDK, Ecstasy

All colors have a buttery, smooth texture, very nice, aside from the glittery ones - which still aren't horrible! They're all shimmery, so that might get redundant.

Onto swatches! Bear with me, the outdoors, row-by-row systematic ones were deleted, so these must do!
Left-to-right:
-Oil Slick - a glittery black shade. Not all that pigmented as a true black, but will get the job done for blending
-Uzi - One of my least favorites, sadly. Almost all silver glitter. Leaves behind a small pearly sheen, but  it's not opaque at all
-Stray Dog - Nice shimmery dark brown/taupe shadow. Much nicer than the color of a stray dog!
-Mildew - Shimmery dark green. Color is like, well, mildew! It's aptly named, but still a pretty shade. Could go with neutrals nicely as a subtle bit of color.
-Midnight Cowboy Rides Again - This picture makes it seem a bit more opaque than it is. Gold-pearl-toned glittery shade, pigmentation a bit better than Uzi.
-SWF - Shimmery, pinky nude.
-Last Call - Shimmery red-violet.
-Rockstar - Shimmery dark purple. A bit lighter and pinker than Urban Decay's Freakshow.
-Haight - Probably one of my favorites! Shimmery blue-teal, almost a duochrome. Very unique blue color.
-Maui Wowie - An UD classic! Another favorite. You guessed it, SHIMMERY gold neutral, almost leaning towards a nude shade.

Left-to-right:

-Aquarius - Shimmery ice-blue.
-Smog - Shimmery dark brown. Nice crease color for a neutral look.
-Goddess - Dark blue glitter. A lot more pigmented than the other glitters, but still not very opaque.
-Sin - Favorite! Lovely lid color for neutral eyes. Shimmery golden-nude, much more nude than Maui Wowie.
-YDK - Shimmery mid-toned brown.
-Ecstasy - Shimmery lilac purple, almost a duochrome. Similar to Urban Decay's Fishnet but pinker and less pigmented.

Roundup time!
(all ratings are out of 5)

Staying Power: ♫♫♫♫♫
Stays just as long as I need them to!

Value: ♫♫♫♫♫
Single eyeshadows from Urban Decay retail for $18. These are about half the size. That totals out to $144, and the palette retailed for $55, $39 on sale.

Quality: ♫♫♫♫
Very buttery, silky texture. The only downside is the texture of the glitters, which is almost sandy.

Color: ♫♫♫♫
All true to pan color, except for a few.

Would I buy it again?: Yes... However, I can't, because this was just discontinued as I was reviewing it -___-

Apologies! You can still get some of these in other palettes, individually, or otherwise, so I recommend you try! Have a good night dolls!
