Review: Maybelline Color Tattoo Metal in Electric Blue

Around winter, Maybelline released a new collection of Metal Color Tattoos. These are more metallic and shiny. I found a few more of these on sale at my Jewel Osco recently, so I decided to review this one!

This comes in the usual packaging all other Color Tattoos come in, with the addition of, well, the word "metal." You can see the color inside from outside. There's also a plastic cap that states the color, etc. on the other side.

Nice fingerprint! This comes in a pretty sizable jar (maybe an inch across). The texture of the product is smooth and paintlike, but it's a bit hard to use with a brush. I prefer a finger for application. The warmth helps spread the product. This sounds creepy. I'll stop.

Swatch time!

This is Electric Blue swatched bare in direct sunlight. As you can see, this one might not be as pigmented as other Color Tattoos. This might work better as a base. It's a lot smoother and sheerer. This is disappointing, because it's quite a nice color, but you can't really build it up all that much.

-Pretty color
-Long lasting

Roundup time!
(all ratings are out of 5)

Staying Power: ♫♫♫♫♫
I've worn these for a very long time at very sweaty concerts and the eyeshadow over it does not move at all.

Value: ♫♫♫1/2
These usually retail for around $7 (on sale for $5.99 on Ulta right now)  which usually makes me balk a bit.

Quality: ♫♫♫♫
Very smooth.

Pigmentation: ♫♫♫
These are very sheer and would need to function as a base.

Would I buy it again?: Maybe not such a dark color.

You can currently pick these up on Ulta's website on sale for $5.99 each!

Love ya dolls!
